Our waiter, Ron was prompt, knowledgeable and pleasant. I chose the baby backs, and they were fall off the bone tender and covered in a rum based barbecue sauce that kept me licking my fingers again and again. The rest of the menu consists of sandwiches, burgers (all 1/2 pound) and some very surprising entrees. I had the mussels, and they were superb perfectly steamed in a rich and luscious tomato based sauce with a couple of crostini to mop up the sauce. Both Mutiny and Iron Bridge are owned by the Wecker brothers. That's primarily because of Chef Jake, the former chef at Iron Bridge in Columbia. The menu is several steps above what you'd expect for a bar in Glen Burnie. In addition to the rums they also have a variety of about 12 beers on tap as well as bottled imports and domestics, all at reasonable bar prices. At an average of 80 proof, that 2 1/4 ounces of rum will seem like plenty. The flights are well designed to give you a thorough sampling of the type of rum chosen. Each flight consists of three 3/4 ounce shots and your choice of any back (water, ginger ale, coke, etc.) to clear your pallet. Mutiny offers Rum Flights, five of them in fact, from Light rums to well Aged sipping rums. They have over 150 different brands of rum, some from places you would never expect to make ANY rum, more less GOOD rum. What IS relevant here is the food and the rum. And why does it have a Pirate theme? But really none of that is relevant. Despite several comments, it's not that hard to find, but you will be asking yourself why this waterfront bar is in a residential neighborhood. We dined here on a Friday night and the place was jumping but not shoulder to shoulder crowded.
